Le complexe industriel des abattoirs du Logone a été inauguré ce 29 février 2020 par le président de la République Idriss DEBY ITNO.
Implanté à Ngara, une localité située à environ 10 km de la ville de Moundou, l’abattoir moderne est un complexe industriel doté des machines de pointe et des compartiments répondant aux normes internationales.
Cet abattoir moderne dont le chantier a démarré en 2018 a une capacité de production de 400.000 tonnes de viande par an, soit deux cent bœufs et 400 petits ruminants par jour dont les produits finis comme la viande et ses produits dérivés seront exportés à l’international.
Cette infrastructure moderne contribuera à diversifier l’économie nationale et à créer des emplois, selon les autorités de la République du Tchad.
